Harding students and teachers teamed up to contribute over 400 pairs of new kids' tennis shoes for Shoes for Orphan Souls, an effort that will send the shoes to Honduras. Headed up by sibling duo Brittain and Will Lawrence, this project was supported by Campus Ministry. All the shoes were displayed on the stage during the First Friday Assembly on October 4. Shoes were still coming in! (photo by Mrs. Kelly Dahlberg) …if it starts with us, it has to end with us. It’s our responsibility, as mothers, to do everything in our power to make sure we aren’t (even unknowingly) raising mean girls. http://www.ksl.com/?nid=1009&sid=26861581 Harding Academy is sponsoring a drive to collect new shoes to be given to children in Honduras. The drive will run through October 3. The shoes should be new, kid-sized shoes, and it's best if they are tennis shoes. Brittain (10) and Will Lawrence (8) presented the idea in chapel on Monday, September 16. Brittain went on a mission trip to distribute shoes last summer and has another trip planned for the summer of 2014. We have 531 students in the upper school. Our goal is to collect 531 pairs of shoes. More important, we want every student to participate. Please encourage your student to contribute at least one pair of shoes.
